Sixman D2 Enrollment numbers

sixman2.jpg
All the districts have 4 teams except District 6 and 10. I guess they were done that way because of the possibility that maybe Dell City in District 6 and Benjamin in district 10 could not finish their seasons. I don't see how a school with 11 students can field a football team and it will even be tough for a school with 19. It is good to see 16 full districts this year.

Thank you both for the numbers. Very close to what I found. Wondering about the validty of D1 Chester with a 50 for enrollment number. My understanding was 53.5 was the cutoff between the divisions.

Observed this on UIL site on page named Rank Order. Actually the info on “Rank Order” was given to me by my son Bradley Hardin. He is a good son.

There are 138 schools overall with 71 being placed in Division 1 and 67 being placed in Division 2. The break appeared to be 53.5 which is why I questioned if these were official enrollment numbers as Chester is D 1 with 50.

I bet Chester requested to move to D1 for travel reasons. Follett and Aspermont have higher numbers and are in D2.

So, what scenarios might cause a school to report a "fractional" student for enrollment?

I know there is a special formula for a "new" high school, but I can't figure out what might cause an existing school to report a partial student.

Maybe a disabled student? or Special Ed?

I realize you are joking about "skipping class", but I've seen a couple of references on this board to ADA (Average Daily Attendance) in conjunction with reporting enrollment numbers for the reclassification.

AFAIK, the enrollment number reported to the UIL does not involve "attendance" in any fashion.

So, if we have 100 kids enrolled in our high school and have a 96.5% average daily attendance rate, the school should report 100 kids for the reclassification.

Everyone agree with that interpretation?

Div 1 District 9 could be an interesting district next year depending on how many starters were lost off of this years team. Four of the schools were this years playoff teams.
