Saw Notre Dame host Dallas Tyler St. and Lakeland Christian in a 3-team scrimmage Friday night.
ND pitched another shutout on the night. Offense looked pretty decent too, even without a couple of starters missing time with some injuries.
Tyler St. looked good for a young team. Their QB, a freshman I believe, has a cannon for an arm and should be fun to watch for the next few years.
Lakeland had a lot of size and showed intensity, but talent wise didn't match up well against ND. Fared somewhat better against Tyler St. Not sure if they are young, or may be in a rebuilding year.
From where I was standing, ND still has a long way to go to get back to making some noise in the playoffs. Should be a good test at home against Forestburg this Friday to start the season.
