Description: Direct, manage and lead the district’s athletic program; evaluate programs and coaches; manage and oversee the allocated finances provided to each athletic department; lead coaches and develop a professional learning community that will create a coaching community that is unified and working as a team; instruct and coach students and coaches; develop skills and abilities to excel in athletics; instill competitive excellence through comprehensive and varied offerings; encourage students to participate in an extracurricular athletic activity; establish and sustain a program that is systemic and begins developing the students/athletes at an early age; compliance with all federal, state, UIL and local requirements; develop discipline, character, leadership, integrity and a winning attitude in students; foster achievement and support them in future endeavors.
Qualifications: This is an administrative position; therefore, a Bachelor’s degree is required and Master’s degree is preferred. Valid Texas teaching certificate required. Mid-management or educational leadership certification is preferred but not required. Must have 3-5 years of coaching experience, required. Athletic director or administrator experience preferred. Valid Texas commercial driver’s license. Must have classroom teaching experience along with Physical Education/Athletics experience.
Salary: Salary is commensurate with training and experience.
Benefits: 100% of health insurance paid by the district, district housing availale, TIA district beginning 2025-2026
