Reverse Snap Offense - 1957 Union Bobcats

An offensive formation that has gone the way of the dinosaurs...the reverse snap...or butt-to-butt offense. Grady ran this into the 1970s and there is film of that on youtube as well and at that time some coaches called it "the Grady Bump"

Union would end up being Regional Champs in 1957 running this offense. This clip is from their game vs Wellman at Wellman. Union is in white, Wellman in black. This clip is a three play set in the the 4th quarter, a long reverse play, a short TD run play, and a 1 point conversion run play. Enjoy!

Saw the Grady doggie snap live from the visitors sideline in 1976. Thought if we hit their center quick and hard enough we could disrupt their whole offense. Didn't happen. Their center was about 200 lbs, quick and strong. We did not move the mountain. They were running a spread offense with that doggie snap.
