Pop Warner Coaches accused of issuing bounties?

I forgot to tell you guys.

We had a bounty system last year for our team. All the coaches kicked in $20 each to the kitty and we paid the bounties out of there.

At the end of the season, all the money was still there in the kitty.

Plus $4 interest.

OK noo big deal about the bounty, but would like to know where the money was invested. 5 coaches @ $20.00 per week for 10 weeks = $1,000.00 for 10 weeks and got $4.00 return. That's about 2.75% - 3.0% return (annualized) on a very short term investment. I have some money that I could invest for that return.
Of course could of been the local bookie holding the funds and betting on the games so the returen might not have been all that good after all. What do I know.
