Plainview Christian High School has new football coach

The Plainview Christian High School football team’s head coach Steve Reese will no longer be coaching the Eagles and will be replaced by assistant coach and school principal Brent Patton.

The change comes at the same time the Eagles’ game against Wilson this week was canceled due to PCHS having too few players to field a team.

“So far, it had been a disappointing season because we had been hampered by unforeseen injuries and illness and it kept us from reaching our full potential,” said Reese. “At the beginning of the year we had a shot at being a really good team, but the injuries got us down.

“I wish them well in the future and I hope the best for them. I think they have potential to make a good team with the talent pool there. It’s just being able to figure out a way to stay healthy.”

Patton was unable to be reached for comment.

I really hate to see Coach Reese go. I really liked him and thought he was a good coach. I think he was just having one of those years. Good Luck to you Coach.

I think PCA was doing good this year they were beating us (Lazbuddie) in
the first quarter 13-2 but Lazbuddie won 48-13 Good Luck PCA!!!!
