Nah, it stands for People Eating Tasty Animals.

Seriously, years ago when the cyberwebverse was just getting up and running there was a PETA url but it wasn't the activist group it was some satire group and they had a hysterically funny site about "Eating Tasty Animals". Alas the buzz-kill PETA's got tem shut down or their URL taken away or something along those lines and they disappeared forever from the cyberweb.
