Just saw on FB (Pete Christy) that Patton Springs is going from K-12 to K-6.
I am hearing Spur or GuthrieWhere are the kids of high school age headed in the fall of 2025?
What is the website that shows those school district boundaries? Thanks.Hate to see another HS in rural West Texas shut their doors. Personally, my mother was in the Class of 1945, the last class that only had to go 11 years. She was proud to be from PSHS.
Here's the TEA school districts in that area. The red boxes are where the actual schools are. It appears that any HS students east of Afton, where PSHS is located, would be closer to Guthrie than Motley County or Spur. IMHO, I don't think too many will go to Spur unless they are in or just outside of Dickens. Most of the kids are on farms and ranches in the area, not in Afton.

I google mapped it. Only 20 miles north up Hwy 70 from Patton Springs to Motley County.I’ve been told high school kids will be going to Motley County. I had assumed it would be spur since they’re in the same county, but I don’t know much.
We have transfer agreements with Guthrie and Spur. Students that live in our district can enroll at either school and be UIL eligible immediately. Our students that transferred in to us can go to the school in the district they live in or apply to transfer at another school.I’ve been told high school kids will be going to Motley County. I had assumed it would be spur since they’re in the same county, but I don’t know much.
