Pro-Vison Academy in southeast Houston is planning to join the sixman ranks in Fall 2013. They have successfully played flag football in the past. They now are looking to transition to tackle sixman with the anticipation to join either U.I.L or TCAL districts next realignment. The school has a football field on campus that was constructed due to the contribution of the Houston Texans. They will be looking to field middle school, JV, and varsity teams. I had a meeting Monday to discuss sixman football and how to start up the program with appointed athletic director and head coach Rhett Caviel.
Former NFL All-Pro cornerback Roynell Young founded the school back in the 90's. Interesting enough former New York Knicks and Houston Rockets head coach and current ESPN NBA broadcaster Jeff Van Gundy is also an executive board member.
