New 6 man coach

Hey I am a new coach to 6 man football and I was wondering if anyone could help me with the offensive side of the ball. I have tried to figure out formations and stuff but I have been struggling to find information. Does anyone have any ideas on formations and plays?

Thank you to anyone who reads and or responds to this post.

More information might help. You are new to sixman, but what about the group of kids you are going to coach. If they have had experience in one or more tight formations, it might be smart to start with what they know. You have a T formation, a wing T formation, or multiple sets of the J-bird out of an unbalanced line. The spread formations are as varied as you want to let your imagination take you. You will have to follow a couple of basic rules...3 men on the line of scrimmage and can't have more the one man in motion and he can't be going toward the line of scrimmage at the snap of the ball. If you have access to hudl on the internet, you might get Coach Lee's (Strawn) permission to study his game films. I think he will use almost all of the formations mentioned above.

Two youtube channels exist that have a lot of 6man film

These will help you out as far as films go
Sixmanfilms - Mostly vintage with games up to about 2014 - will have a lot of tight and unbalanced line formations & traditional spread formations. Heavy focus on playoff teams and state champions

SixmaniaMedia - Mostly games from the last 4-5 years will have many new types of spread formations, guns, and so forth

Ask coaches! The 6man coaches are much better as far as sharing things than all other classifications. I know many coaches who ad other coaches to their own hudl account just to help.

Defense I would suggest looking at the older films bc no one plays defense any more (that's an attempt at a joke).

Post a good email and Im sure some folks will respond with help for you

If you find something (a formation) you like, post asking about it, several folks can guide you as to who to contact that run it well.
