Job Description:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in assigned core academic area to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Provide instruction and coach students to develop skills and ability to excel in assigned sport(s). Contribute to education program as a whole to enable students and athletes to develop competencies and skills to function in society.
*Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
*Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
*Knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures
*Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules
*Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
*Ability to instruct and supervise student athletes
*Ability to pass U.S. Department of Transportation alcohol and drug tests and annual physical
*Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Salary:
$2,500 Above State Base
$4,000 Stipend for Head Coaching
$2,000 Stipend for CDL
Job Requirements:
- Texas Teacher Certification
- Certified in either Composite Social Studies (preferred) or 4-8 Generalist
- Possess a CDL or be willing to acquire it as soon as possible
Location:
Nazareth ISD is located in Castro County. It is located on State Highway 86 between Dimmitt and Tulia (18 miles west of I27). It is approximately 60 miles southwest of Amarillo and 75 miles northwest of Lubbock. Nazareth ISD educates about 230 students in grades PK-12 and has exemplary academic and extracurricular programs.
