Position: Head Football Coach/Campus Athletic Director Poteet High School
Description: Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Head Football Coach/Campus Athletic Director for Poteet High School. The appointee will report directly to the campus Principal and will be directly responsible for the football program as well as provide leadership and direction to all other athletic programs on the campus and feeder schools. The person will work closely with all personnel and students on the campus.
Qualifications: The Head Football Coach/Campus Athletic Director will have a valid teaching certificate.
Preference will be given to applicants who:
* have experience as a head coach.
* have three (3) years coaching experience in a successful 2-A, 3-A, 4-A or 5-A program.
* possess strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
* demonstrate effective communication, public relation, and interpersonal skills.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.
Salary: Pay Range: Negotiable; 226 day contract
Employment begins: March 12, 2010 or as soon as possible
