We are seeking a dynamic, certified (or certification-track) Social Studies Teacher who is eager to coach and mentor our students. This is an excellent opportunity for a young coach looking to grow professionally, potentially serving as Head Baseball Coach with a $9,500 stipend and participating in our 6-man football program.Key Responsibilities
- Teach a combination of middle-school and secondary Social Studies courses
- Develop and deliver engaging, TEKS-aligned lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Serve as a coach (baseball, football, track, and other duties assigned)
- Build positive, collaborative relationships with students, parents, and fellow staff
- Participate in department and district professional-development initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid Texas teaching certificate in Social Studies, or current enrollment in an approved certification program
- Willingness to obtain a CDL by August 2025 (district will support training)
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom-management skills
- Passion for coaching and student development
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary based on district pay scale
- $333 monthly district contribution toward health insurance
- $9,500 coaching stipend (Head Baseball Coach opportunity)
- $1500 above base
- 159-day contract on an East Texas school calendar
