Contract: 159 workdays

Position Overview​

We are seeking a dynamic, certified (or certification-track) Social Studies Teacher who is eager to coach and mentor our students. This is an excellent opportunity for a young coach looking to grow professionally, potentially serving as Head Baseball Coach with a $9,500 stipend and participating in our 6-man football program.

Key Responsibilities​

• Teach a combination of middle-school and secondary Social Studies courses
• Develop and deliver engaging, TEKS-aligned lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners
• Serve as a coach (baseball, football, track, and other duties assigned)
• Build positive, collaborative relationships with students, parents, and fellow staff
• Participate in department and district professional-development initiatives

Qualifications​

• Valid Texas teaching certificate in Social Studies, or current enrollment in an approved certification program
• Willingness to obtain a CDL by August 2025 (district will support training)
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom-management skills
• Passion for coaching and student development

Compensation & Benefits​

• Competitive salary based on district pay scale
• $333 monthly district contribution toward health insurance
