I would be willing to bet that it's going to be a first for ANY Jr. High Football team, EVER!

The Richland Springs Coyote Jr. High football game will be LIVE on the radio at 106.1 FM & 1410 AM or streamed LIVE on the world wide web at www.sansabaradio.com
Pregame broadcast will begin at 5:40pm.

Yikes.

The poor business owners of the greater Richland Springs area have been fleeced for years by the conspiracy between the Richland Springs football team and the owners of the local radio station for sponsoring the varsity games.

Now they have the unmitigated gall to start the racket with JH football?

Have they no shame?

Which reminds me to reprise an old joke of mine:

What's the least expensive item on the Richland Springs football broadcast rate card?

"This second half of Richland Springs football is brought to you by ...." sponsorship.

Seriously, I remember back when I first moved to Seguin ... every year, the local radio station would broadcast the Saegert vs Briesemister junior high football game between the two junior high teams in Seguin ISD around the end of the season (and our coach, John Rabon, used to coach the Saegert team at the time); I think they stopped the broadcast a couple years before Rabon came over to Lifegate ... seems John told me once that one of the varsity head coaches that came in didn't like the idea and stopped it.
