Information on a few six man teams for a new coach

Hello guys, I'm an assistant coach for Sanchez Charter in Houston. We are playing in Division 1 TCAL this year and we have a few pre-district games this season. I was wondering if anyone on this site with knowledge of Houston area six man could offer any advice or information concerning the following teams. We are generally just wondering the size and experiences of the schools. It looks like our pre-district schedule will be Chester High School, Brazosport Christian, Humble Christian Life Center and First Baptist Christian. Also any advice you guys could offer to a new coach would be helpful. Thanks a ton!

Coach ... I'd check their schedules and see who they play ... you might even be able to check with your opponents and find out who/when/where your opponents scrimmage (and hey, be willing to share that with them as well).

We played Chester last year (they went from 11 to 6 man last summer); good squad, they were in the process of trying to adapt to the sixman game.

Sixman coaches are a pretty open group of people ... you might (and I'll just say might) get some folks to give you a scouting report on themselves ... we had a friend a few years back who asked us to fax us our playbook and we actually sent him "one," I believe it was entitled something like : Falcon Offense, on a wing and a prayer ....

Thanks for all your help sir. I definitely won't mind sharing information, although the only scrimmage we have is on August 20th and it's with 4 teams. I think two of the teams were Pine Drive and Orange Community Christian. I don't have the paper in front of me. Our first game of the season is against Chester. I was able to speak with the coach from Brenham Christian Academy the other day and he was very helpful with the basics of six man. We have Tomball Homeschool in our division and I've heard they are a pretty tough squad. Generally do any of these six man teams have game film that they are willing to trade?

Coach,

Let me know if you need anything. I am the Football Commissioner for TCAL and I am available anytime you need me. Please feel free to call or email anytime. I will be happy to give you a scouting report on most of these teams. You have started in the right place! This web site will be a great resorse for you.

Have a great season!

Coach Frey,
We have played a few teams on your list, and I don't mind sharing, although year old data may be hazardous. TCAL has great schools and coaches, and want to see the athletes succeed. I don't know much about your district rival, Mt. Carmel. though.
Peace,
