I am working to get six-man at Immanuel Lutheran School in Giddings Texas. My conversations with parents always stick on the subject of who would we play. My standard answer is there are teams all around us, but that does not do much to convince them.
So I thought I would post on http://www.sixmanfootball.com and e-mail the coaches I have been in contact with and “pencil in” some games, no specific dates yet. We will field a sixth grade only team and a combo seventh / eighth grade team (may have to bring up a few sixth graders).
There is a field in the city for our home games and we have a bus to travel to away games and I am willing to play a team twice at each team’s home field to bolster the schedule.
I believe will go independent our first year to get the largest opportunity to play various teams and get a better feel for how six man works.
This is what I need….
• Contact information – E-mail and phone.
• Team Information – how many teams and what grades participates in each team.
• Home Field – where do you play your home games, address and would you be willing to play on neutral field when travel distances become an issue.
