School A: Veribest cancels a district game versus School B: Water Valley due to suspensions, but plays a JV game. Then school A having a bye week the next week and magically having enough kids 3 days later schedules School C: Bryson for a varsity game. So school A hasn't lost a varsity game but forfeits a varsity game and plays the next week, school C picks up a game that they have lost, and school B has lost a game and is just out of luck. How do you all feel about that? Things that make you go hmmmm.... planned I think so!

On suspension last week. Off this week. I am from WV and do not believe this happened on purpose. Boys did something they were suspended for and now they are off. Life goes on.

I agree with country mile. They should play the varsity game before the JV. Veribest isn't too well liked as it is. Their JV probably beat them bad enough in one half!

This happened when i was playing. We had a school that forfeited against our varsity. They made it known they only had 6 kids and didnt want to have anyone get hurt against our far stronger varisty. The team played our JV and was still 45ed at the half. I get protecting the kids physically but i always felt they were always trying to protect their emotions as well. My thing is why organize a team if they are only going to play the weaker games on the schedule and forfeit the tough ones. at least try to schedule against JVs right at the begining on the season or in the case of this school just play and outlaw schedule in div 2. (ps that same school is forfeiting this year too so 8 years later things havent changed.)

If you got 6,
and it's on your schedule,
you play.
Period.
Unless you're a rat or a wuss
or don't believe any of the stuff you preach to the boys all year.
jus sayin'.
