Yeah, but what have you done for me lately? lol

It's one of those weird numbers that pops up occasionally, it will correct itself in 1 or 2 weeks.

Yeah! Yeah! Granger used to say that a lot too! I always thought the incorrect starting position has more to do with little glitches like this than anything else. Impossible to correct once the season is more than half over...but still....

I agree.

Will your system really make up 46 spots ....Oakwood beat Milford and are 46 spots below not to mention they beat rockwall hertiage and you have them at 59 ...I guess what happens on the field means absolutely nothing.

Yeah, that is strange. You are absolutely correct in stating that what happens on the field means absolutely nothing. Except it is an incomplete statement. What happens on the field 5 weeks ago, means absolutely nothing to what you see now. Teams get better and worse throughout the season, largely due to injuries. In week 2 Oakwood was better than Milford. But apparently 5 weeks later, it would seem that Milford is the better team.

Rockwall, lets see, beat em by 5 three weeks ago, now your slightly less than 3 point under them, i don't think that's just "crazy". Rockwall must have beat the spread to move up a little. Guess if Oakwood would beat the spread more often, they would move up some too. Go figure.

Milford's exceptional rating comes from an exceptional performance this last week. If they are not as good as that, then when they don't meet the spread, they will move back down. It really is that simple.

So in your logic Oakwood won't move up any more this year since the last 2 weeks they won by 45 ...and they play no one ranked ahead of them ...Just curious about your system ....

Hornkeeper's system will continue to advance teams in the rankings as they advance in the playoffs. I know this, because I began the season doing an identical ranking system. I abandoned mine because of the time involved - I was doing everything by hand. The only difference in our systems - he assigned teams initial ratings and I started everyone with an equal rating.
