We are hosting a Summer Basketball Tournament on June 16th, 2012. Information and rules are outlined below. If you have any questions, feel free to contact McKenzie Chisum at (806) 790-1995 or by email at [email protected].
Players from each team will wear colors similar to those of their school.
Officials will be provided for the games.
Each team will pay $175.
A parent/guardian, as well as player, will be required to sign a release form before the player will be able to participate.
Team rosters, fees, and release forms can be mailed to McKenzie Chisum, PO Box 42, Guthrie, TX 79236, by May 25th. Make all checks payable to Jaguar Boosters.
Tournament Information:
We will begin with two pools and play a round robin schedule. We will have 6 girls and 6 boys teams. We will utilize both of our gyms. At the end of the pool play, we will seed by record and play a Consolation game, 3rd place game, and Championship game. If the bracket is full, each team will be guaranteed three games.
Tournament Rules:
Arrive 15 minutes before your first scheduled game.
Players will demonstrate good sportsmanship
No jewelry, no sagging shorts
Players can be upcoming 9th-12th graders.
There will be two 20 minute halves with the clock stopping the last three minutes of the game unless there is a twenty point lead. Two minute overtime. 5 minute halftime.
Substitutes will be made every 5 minutes at the discretion of the team.
Shooting fouls 1 free throw = 2 points until the last 3 minutes of the game
Personal fouls will be kept.
Regular rules will apply to the last 3 minutes of every game.
Players that receive a technical foul will sit out the remainder of the game.
Players that receive a second technical foul will be dismissed from the tournament.
Each team must provide a bench supervisor.
