Athletic coaching assignment(s) are possible to the qualified candidate; possibly including - Assistant Football (Six-Man), Boys Basketball (Assistant or Head Coaching), and Track Assistant or Tennis. Athletic Coaching Qualifications include: strong motivational leader, knowledgeable in the fundamental skills necessary for assigned sports, capable of providing positive leadership in our boys' athletic programs, and the desire to work as a member of a team for the overall benefit of the District and its students. The athletic department's core values are grounded in fundamental skill development, discipline, and the development of a sound work ethic.Varsity coaching experience and experience in a small school setting is preferred; but, not required
Salary is based on experience. Groom ISD offers $4,000 above state base for teaching; plus, $325 monthly towards employee health insurance. Additionally, this position qualifies for a shortage-area bonus stipend. Athletic assignments include additional stipends based the assignment and the number of activities coached; plus, housing is provided for coaches (as available).
