If any one person is responsible for the Cowboys becoming known as America's Team it was Mr. Brandt. He found the players that no one else did that made them what they were. Charlie Waters, Bullet/Crow Bob Hays, Walt Garrison, so many more.

Hall of Famer, former Dallas Cowboys executive Gil Brandt dies at age 91

Gil Brandt was the vice president of player personnel for the Cowboys from 1960 to 1988.

RIP Gil Brandt , when NFL football was good and respected, score a TD had the ball back to the ref, players back then were so respectful.I grew up in Dallas back in the day games were blacked out if not a sellout within 72 hours before kickoff, my family would load up and drive 60 miles to watch the Cowboys on a Tyler station. The good ol days and Mr.Brandt you were a big part of many folks lifes.Thank you sir.RIP
