What I think is worse than sleet or snow is playing in a cold rain. I remember playing Dawson on Oct 19, 1972, my Junior year, it started raining before the game. the temperature fell into the low 40's by game time and probably was in the high 30's by the end of the game. a real mudbowl. We got clobbered because we could not hang onto the ball very well. A wet miserable game.
