Just a question: on your rankings you have a situation where team "A" 45'ed team "B" and team "B" beat team "C" by 11, how do you have both team "B" and team "C" listed higher than team "A"? just wondering.

Valid question - best answered by knowing the teams in question, but the system looks at the results of a projected game but not previous games, that is to say the power rankings are adjusted each week based on that weeks performance, which is a reason why the system gets better each week, In a nut shell, if team a is picked to beat teamB by 20 points then the results of the game determines how much the power rate changes, beat the projected spread then you power goes up more than if you meet the spread and you can win and lose power, if Team A was picked to 45 Team B but only beat them by say 2 points Team a would lose power while the loser Team B would actually gain power.

Would like to look at the 3 teams in question send me the names and I will map out the changes that got them to where they are today . . .

This system isn't perfect as we are comparing apples to oranges, (UIL-Tapps, Tcal, etc plus div1 and 2)

Pete, i really can and do appreciate you time , effort , and money you spend on this. I just cant see how Grandfalls Royalty could ever be in a top 25 or even above Borden County. They have played nobody in a top 35 or close to it . The only time they got played hard is in a scrimmage against klondike. Even then, klondike jv handled them ,from what i was told. There is absolutely no evidence to prove a ranking that high. Winning their games as predicted cannot give them an accurate high ranking. When they play low ranked teams it will not show how much of a strength of a team they actually are. They want a ranking like that the need to play at least a top 30 team. Way over rated. Would you expect Water Valley to be #1 playing teams that have rankings below 70.Absolutely not. Of course they would 45 all those teams. But that would never show their true strength.
