I've never seen a Stephenville Yellow Jackets game even though I live right outside town. Tonight they play Lubbock Cooper on ESPN 2 at 8:00 Texas time. It might be worth watching a little to see QB Jarett Stidham who is already committed to Texas Tech. Somebody had him ranked as the # 2 dual threat QB in the country before the season. He ran for 220 yds last week. Sounds like he might have made a decent spreadback.
 
People got mad when I suggested that ESPN should air a sixman game ! Saying that it wouldn't be worth it cause you wouldn't know if the game would last four quarters. Well I know 11-man doesn't have the mercy rule but this game will not last four quarters! Meaning that Stephenville is going to blow cooper out of the water! I mean cooper is a 5a that played a 3a Idalou squad and didn't beat them to bad. There's no way cooper can compete with Stephenville.
 
Your right about the competition. They may 45' em by the half. I just thought watching a good spread back, even if it is in 11 man, for a little bit might be better than nearly anything on TV on a Thursday night.
 
Just bustin' your chops a little........... actually a pretty good game. I think Stephenville will pull away in the 2nd half. If their defense wakes up..........
 
This happens to me every time I say something about a team. They do the exact opposite of what I say their going to do! Maybe Stephenville is a little bit overrated? Yet I'm still sticking with that East Texas football is better than West Texas. At least in the 11-man play.
