Div 1 Region 2 is just stacked

I know it's early.... yeah yeah yeah... but still makes for good conversation.

The question is who out this region is going to survive? The top 5 D1 teams are all from region 2, have to battle it out for the shot at a state title (and likely to win it all it would appear). #7 Rankin is also out of region 2. It seems like any of the top 4-5 out of this region have a legitimate shot of going to state as there doesn't seem to be a hands down favorite right now.

Another question is why is this region so loaded?? Will realignment change anything?

It's a little hard to change geography. Just a little gerrymandering might get Throck back in the east. (Thanks a lot!) And Crowell and Knox City could go into Region 1. It could depend on who makes the cut for division 2.

I've heard that Throck will likely be D2.
