D1,#2 Vs D2,#1 Veritas Vs New Braunfels

Who thinks D2 New Braunfels can knock off the Division 1, #2 ranked Veritas. The Toy has them pretty evenly matched and New Braunfels scored some significant points against #1 Ranked Dallas Lutheran.

If I recall correctly Veritas was picked to 45 SA Lutheran last week, and won by “only” about 20.

Does anyone know the back story, Veritas overrated, SA Lutheran underrated? Veritas play down/ Lutheran play up?

Always take early rankings, especially among private school 6 man teams, with a grain of salt until about week 4 or so. Transfers, in and out, and graduations change teams every year.

Veritas was up 40-6 in the 2nd quarter and pulled all their starters.

Being a DL dad i wont say anything bad about New Braunfels. Great group of kids and talented. I think you can review the box score and learn a lot. They will win a lot of games. Veritas needs to be on their game or this will be an upset.
One note, DL's RB had a stomach bug that night so he wasnt a 100%, he still scored and was amazing but not full speed.
Its sad that you loose some power points for not 45ing when the spread calls for it. This is going to be a fun year with lots of good games..... . Just glad we are in 6 man and have Coach Schup.
