Curt Gowdy a member of just about every professional sports Hall of Fame as a broadcaster...the first sporting event he ever broadcasted was A SIX-MAN FOOTBALL GAME!!!

A High School game in 1943 in Cheyenne, WY. There were 15 people in the stands and the temperature was below zero and he stood on an orange crate to do the broadcast! There is a great quote from Gowdy about this game "Nobody wore numbers. I made up the name of every player. I had to guess where the goal line was."
