Its still a little early. I need to see how their game against Calvert turnout before I make my prediction

Well at this point, they have no other choice as Milfords the only home game they have remaining on the schedule. But you're right, it'll be interesting as it adds motivation for them to get that W. But it also gives Milford the chance to play spoiler and thats always nice to do lol.

I also agree, Coolidge vs. Calvert will give us a better idea of who they are. Along with who Calvert is.

I wish Homecoming would go away and never come back! All it does is distract from trying to win the ball game. Besides, I am sure #1 from Milford would love to see them do their homecoming stuff when the game is already over.

After watching both teams on film I think Coolidge has a little too much for Calvert and it should be over at halftime.

I know of a 2A school who only has homecoming every 4 years. So each kid will have 1 homecoming 1 time in high school.

Agreed, but I do think it best to have it during football season...and Im partial to Saturdays myself...and no earlier than week 4...but that's just me

At our school Homecoming is the Friday and Saturday of class reunions. It is always a home football game weekend in October. Easier to remember the date that way. This year is my 50th, uh maybe it’s our 51st, uh I’m not sure. I can’t remember.............

Fair enough, but I do not think schools should schedule difficult opponents, like Milford, for their homecoming. The coach, school, and community owe it to their players to give them the best chance to compete in a game like that.

So in a way you are teaching the kids it’s fine to be distracted by a “lesser” opponent but they have to stay focused for the remainder of the games..........

A coach once told me of a new job he took. The previous team at that school was so bad that every away game on the schedule was the host school's homecoming game.

He went 5-1 on homecoming games that year. The only homecoming game he lost was his school's homecoming game. And he never was a homecoming game opponent for the remaining years he was at that school.

Lots of distractions happen during homecoming week. I bet parents and players are relieved once it’s off the schedule for the season. It’s tough to prepare for a solid team with all the distractions.
