want to express how impressed I have been this season at the characteristics of your football kids. They were the best example of why we participate in athletics...to build and exercise guts and fortitude, determination and perseverence, family and teammwork. Without these life is an endless struggle we are ill-prepared for. Use these qualities the rest of your lives and you will be successful and life will be better.
You boys can stand proud of everything you accomplished this season, regardless of the final score in game fifteen. By reaching and performing in the championship game you climbed higher than a thousand Texas teams, and no one can ever take that away from you.
So be proud. Be thankful. Recognize your accomplishment and let it make you a better brother, son, student, boyfriend, a better man.
It was a privilege to compete against you this season. Those two game made me a better coach, and benefited our players in every way. And they were extremly fun!
