Thank you again for coming out John, and thank you for posting this about Coach Weehunt.
Planning for practices and games, preparing the field, praying with the faculty before school, getting water out to the field every day, and just hanging out waiting for the boys or their parents, I spent a lot of time with Coach over the past year and a half. I enjoyed getting to know him, hearing stories about his playing days in Meridian and his coaching days in Liberty, LaMarque, and Boerne. Stubborn...yes. Cantankerous....yes. But I can tell you this about Bill Weehunt - he loves God, he loved every day he came to Geneva, and when I visit him I can feel how much he misses his Geneva boys and girls. Please keep Bill and Joyce in your prayers. As Bill said at the assembly, the prayers are working and he is getting better every day. He told me in the car on the way home he was going to be jogging by March. Although I've never seen Bill jog, I wouldn't bet against him.
