I’d like to see some discussion comparing /contrasting the big four in D2,…..Oglesby, Jayton, richland springs, and benjamin. Strengths? Weaknesses?
Have you seen richland springs play this season? Curious on how you arrived at your guessing. I haven't seen them play either, but Oglesby has played in a few contested tackle football games(Abbott and May) which is more than the coyotes. All that tackling and scrumming around can be great experience for playoff contests. Dancing around in the end zone after a touchdown against an overmatched team proves very little. I think Oglesby will want it more. Jayton should be the champ but Benjamin will be tough. If Benjamin makes it to Jerry's World again, I think Oglesby will win.For what it's worth (NOT MUCH I'm guessing), this is how I see those 4 ending up.
I see Ogelsby falling in round 2 against Richland Springs
I see Benjamin falling out in round 3 against Jayton
I see Richland Springs losing in the championship game to Jayton.
I watched the May vs Oglesby game. It was early in the season. I seen cramps and fatigue that you’d expect that early in season. I seen the depth of May (D1) payoff as game went on. But make no mistake Oglesby is for real. I love that Oglesby played a tough schedule early to get that experience. That will make huge difference heading into playoffs. I don’t know how it shakes out in D2 but would not be surprised at all if Oglesby makes it to State.Like you, I have not put eye on Richland Springs, but I have put eye on Oglesby. They are good for sure and have played a few good teams. To me, they did not pass the eye test. Could I be wrong, oh heck yeah. Thats what so great about this time of the year. all of us have thoughts about how it will shack out but none of us know for sure yet. Time will tell and games will be played. Let us talking heads predict and let the coaches and player prove us right or wrong.
Tex I like you and agree the majority of your post. But you can’t be taken seriously when it’s anything to do with Richland Springs. How many times over the years have you said similar remarks about a pansy schedule and those coyotes go on to win it all? Just saying.Have you seen richland springs play this season? When was the last time they won it all? It's been a while (2019)? Wandering in the desert. I haven't said much about their Charmin Ultra Soft schedule in the last 24 hours, have I? The faithful might be getting restless.Tex I like you and agree the majority of your post. But you can’t be taken seriously when it’s anything to do with Richland Springs. lol! Yes sir but I have lingered around here long enough to remember even when they were winning Championships you criticized their regular season schedule. I actually agree RS historically has fairly soft preseason, no say in district games and you have to win ‘em all in the playoffs. They have done it a time or two is all I mean. Maybe this year, maybe not. When was the last time they won it all? It's been a while (2019)? Wandering in the desert. Oglesby had to replace 4 starters from last years team with alot of youngsters who played their true first game against a Senior led Abbott team, they were improving game by game until they ran intp this district that isnt helping them improve to muchLike you, I have not put eye on Richland Springs, but I have put eye on Oglesby. I wish we could have played Three Way at full strength, because we were supposed to be their biggest test, at that point. It would've been a much better game...but, it is what it is. Three Way handled business and we weren't ready for it. I think they were a lot faster, defensively, than our players expected, so I wouldn't underestimate their defense, still. Not a big four DII but an interesting game to me this week for a district championship. # 32 ranked Iredell is favored over # 108 Three Way by 45 I imagine, I've not looked yet.
Iredell lost to #24 Newcastle by 28 and were 45'd by #1 May. Three Way, with a Charmin Soft schedule is undefeated, 45'd them all with six shut outs, the other two games they gave up 6 & 8 points. Under 2 points a game so far, pretty impressive, so far.
Don’t know where you get info about the Oglesby team but did not replace 4 starters from last year team.If you are a Coyote fan you will see have much they have improved in round 3 of playoffs cause the Tigers will be there but can we count on the Coyotes for the rematch.Oglesby had to replace 4 starters from last years team with alot of youngsters who played their true first game against a Senior led Abbott team, they were improving game by game until they ran intp this district that isnt helping them improve to much

Nobody caught it. Not even that friendly feller from May. Mike, how much would it cost to get May ranked #1 for just a week? We could take up a collection for a site donation.
Would it not be easier to rule that endzone catch a touchdown against Westbrook in 2021 instead of doing a fake ranking? Number one ranking goes with the catch.
