I learned yesterday that Jim Bergeron, who spent about 10 years coaching 6-man football passed away unexpectedly last Monday (January 11) in San Antonio, with funeral services on Friday, January 15.
Jim started as an assistant coach as Seguin Lifegate Christian began its program in 2003 and was head coach at New Braunfels Christian for part of a season before beginning the program at San Antonio (later Selma) River City Believers Academy in 2009, I think he coached there three seasons. Jim also spent a couple years coaching basketball at Lifegate.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter and several grandchildren.
