Christway vs Tyler Street - Who will win?

Looks like the spread is 33 points, a blowout predicted for Tyler Street. Will it be closer? Or are we looking at a mercy rule game?

I don't know if Tyler Street is 33 points better. If you look at points for and points against they are similar. Both look as if they are playing impressive defense. Or maybe it's just an indication of their scheduling!! It will be interesting to see what happens, though.

Having seen both teams play this year, Tyler Street is just too strong. Christway had a fast team last year and they crumbled and fell apart in the finals. One man teams don't do any good versus a better team like Tyler Street

This is a 45 for Tyler Street by the end of the 3rd.

Won't be a 33 point game...it should be fairly similar in score to last years game. I'm saying it'll be a 6-10 point game. Both teams are still nearly the same in players. Linn is the only one really missing off of Christway, and The Street is the same bunch. Coach Hargraves has really turned Christway into a very disciplined and more fundamentally sound team this year...which was their achilles heal last year. I'm not picking this one because I have district ties to it, but it should be a great game.

DTS wins. They are not the same bunch from a year ago. They may have the same numbers and names on the roster but they are not the same. Favors is as good as they come and now has a mind for sixman football. He has always been and will continue to be tops when it comes to speed and strength training. These boys have been on the track and in weight room since Favors came back to the school and it is showing. Success in the weight room takes time and this team is really showing that dedication to that room pays off.

This team will simply move Christway out of the way.

Sounds like both teams have improved but that Tyler Street is the favorite by this informal poll. From what I've seen of Duncanville, they are also stronger and much more disciplined than they were last year - one year older and they are more mature. Whoever wins, they will meet again in the playoffs.

The Street will mop the field with Christway. Tyler Street is fast, big and tough. After a few tough hits from TS, Christway will be ready to go home and hide. The Crusaders are #1 and are headed for state.

haha i like the trash talk. i still cant say who will win the game it might go in 15 OT and still not be done for all i know. this is the best game this week(second best notre dame at fellowship). both those games will determine the District Champ in my opinion. fun week of football comin up

I remember when my youngest played at St. Albans in 2002 and they beat Happy Hill like a drum in the regular season at Happy Hill, went undefeated and then lost in the state championship to that same Happy Hill team by 42 points. So, no matter who wins the game Saturday, both teams could meet again in the playoffs and history probably won't have anything to do with the second meeting.

Balbuff, I hope your trash talk is just that - trash - and that this will be a really exciting game.

The prophets have been talkiing about the wrong teams since August.(include Brenhan in the trifecta) But ripples will soon be coming your way and especially next week (oct 30th) .Then you will begin to know who to fear.

Let 'em talk, Brother Robert the Second ... the game is still played on the field.

Robert, it's great you are a loyal fan and supporter of Seguin. Best of luck to your team.

I should of said "could meet" instead of "will meet" in the post you quoted and did correct that mistake in a later post about Christway and Tyler Street meeting in the playoffs. I have been watching 6-man football for 8 years, had 2 sons that played for St. Alban's before their untimely closing and the youngest son did play at Christway for a year after St. Alban's closed. I try not to be a "homer" but will be sitting on the Christway side for the game on Saturday after attending the Arlington High Point/Ft Worth Glenview game tonight (Coach Sean O'Conner is now at High Point). This is a great team sport and my hope is that all of the young men play to the best of their God-given ability and no one gets hurt while playing.

Well, Tyler Street is 32 points better as of today. They could have scored more than 79 but took 3 snaps and knees for the last minute and a half while near the Christway goalline. Their conditioning was apparent - they looked fresh at the end while Christway looked gassed by the half. Still, a good game and Christway never gave up, scoring 47 on Tyler Street's tough defense. Congratulations to the Street - you were the best team today.
