Thanks Coog. Although we are not satisfied at all with our record this year because we had much higher expectations, I do think we have a great foundation to build on for the next couple of years. I really don't expect these kids to be just another easy win for our opponents. I saw a major change in their determination during the last 3 games these guys have played and although one of those games was a loss, they never, ever gave up. We are going to lose 3 great Seniors, but we will still have most of our core crew, some great subs and some new, pretty good Freshmen coming in next year. Even with a 3-6 record for 2014 we are still excited about Yellow Jacket football.
As for play-offs...let's just hope that if Apple Springs does come out and beat Leverett's that they don't run up the score enough to knock us out of the tie-breaker. We don't want to continue the play-off drought either. Twenty-two years is way too long. Longer than that since we've had a play-off win. It would be really nice to end that drought as well.
For now, we prepare as we are getting ready for play-off game and wait a week for confirmation.
And to steal a line from one of my favorite movies "Facing the Giants"...We are preparing for rain.
