Are you ready for some SIX MAN football?

Godsmightywarrior

11-man fan
I've been looking at the threads for a few days waiting for any post... I can't wait any longer. So I'll start this season off.
I'm a Wichita Christian Stars fan and have shot team video for the last two seasons. My wife of 21 years, Alice, passed away last April. We were WCS tennis coaches for two years. My son Christian is off at college now on a full scholarship to Oklahoma Christian University for mechanical engineering. I still love Stars football.
I pray that all teams, all coaches, and all fans enjoy a safe and fun season. Let there be great competition and even greater sportsmanship. GO STARS!!

Busy weekend ... been meaning to respond.

First, our prayers and sympathy on your loss. May the Lord continue to offer you and your family His consolation.

And yes, football season is here. From what I can figure, with Richland Springs and Stephenville Faith losing, that puts the longest current winning streak in Texas sixman football here with the Lifegate Falcons (15 games).

District 4 looks to be strong again. Lifegate and Heritage are always playing top dog, sadly missing Town East this year. Castle Hills may be giving us fits as well -- with an 80-73 win over what was tabbed to be a pretty darn good Kerrville Our Lady of the Hills squad. We'll find out about the Hawks this weekend. Believers surprised me with their win this week, they have a new coach and perhaps a new attitude about being serious about football. Lifegate closes with Heritage and Castle Hills on the road, so playoffs start for Lifegate in week 9.

Heath Fulton had a pretty strong win as well, and the Houston district is going to be a tough one with Orange, Living Stones as my favorites. Heard Jesus Chapel lost a lot of key players through graduation and one of their best players for the season with an injury on the opening game kickoff. District 1 sounds like Kingdom Prep's for the taking.

What's District 2 look like?

Thank you Freeagent.

I think DII six man in general will be much more competitive this season.
As for District II, Wichita Christian beat a much improved Patton Springs squad 49-8. Sophomore Aaron Baker had 193 rushing yards and 5TD's. The Stars defense forced three fumbles.
Brownwood Victory Life lost to always tough Dallas Tyler Street and Granbury NCTA lost to Zephyr. WF Notre Dame had a bye. I think we're going to have a tighter race in district II this season.

GMW,
Notre Dame scrimmaged Gold-Berg a couple of weeks ago. Their big guy is back but they don't have any speed. Gang tackle him and y'all should be OK. I'm anxiously awaiting our first game! Bryson is always tough.

Hey Slappy! I feel pretty good about Friday's game against Gold-Burg. I see Notre Dame has some tough teams right off the bat. I think we'll both have some fun this season. See you at the Stars/Knights game!
