Are there too many District honors?

POY, Off MVP, Def MVP along with like 20 other 1st team positions......are there too many?

especially in the smaller school districts where the same 6 play the whole game.

Seems watered down to me.

Would you feel "Honored?"

If you had to make a true 1st team if you were coaching a group of all-district honors kids, wouldn't you play the best 6 kids even if you had to put a RB at Center or End?

Has anyone questioned this before?

Coach I'm staying out of this one........ I've already got everybody stirred up in another "Too Many" thread.
Having said that, Yes. We are a nation of excess. More is better. I think it dilutes the product.

This thread has some merit. Take the top 6 period...then it means something (it would also mean more headaches for coaches from parents)

I would agree in some districts you would be right...but some districts are loaded with some of the best teams and athletes in the state. It would be a shame if talented kids in those types of districts miss out while some alot less talented get rewarded. Id rather see it a little watered down then some of those exceptional kids missing out on something they deserve. Besides alot of that fixes itself at the region level.
