Rising Star debate team produced the 2011 UIL State Champs in CX debate and qualified debaters to two national tournaments this past summer. The varsity team of Stephanie L and Kevin T traveled to Washington D.C. with teammates Jessica (CX), Miguel(CX), Marla(Extemp), and Frank(LD) to compete. Steph and Kevin placed 17th in the nation at Washington D.C. The two students went on to compete in Dallas at NFL nats. RS had 5 junior high students compete at NJFL with 4 being ranked in the top 15 of CX/Policy debate. It was a great year for Wildcat debate!
