Week 10 Player of the Week Daniel Salinas – May – 30 tackles, 1 INT, 2 blocked kicks, 1 caused fumble; 13-54 yards, 1 TD rushing; 1-54 yards, 1 TD receiving An outstanding defensive performance that falls one tackle shy of tying the all-time six-man record of 31 in a single game. He also scored two touchdowns on offense and picked off a Gorman pass in the Tigers 64-44 win in a huge district game with playoff implications. [b]Honorable Mentions: Ethan Lilljedahl – Jonesboro – 26-375 yards, 6 TDs rushing; 6-10-1 for 114 yards, 2 TDs passing; 7 tackles Lilljedahl was a major part of Jonesboro’s big double overtime win over Zephyr 86-78 racking up 489 yards of total offense for the Eagles. Ian Guerrero – Waco Parkview – 21-45-1 for 410 yards, 7 TDs passing Guerrero threw for over 400 yards in the Pacers 71-36 win over Garland Christian. Alex Crowder - Santa Anna - 7-12 for 204 yards, 5 TDs passing; 9-134 yards, 2 TDs rushing; 70 yard KO return for TD; 4 tackles, 1 INT Crowder was instrumental in Santa Anna's 74-44 win over Lingleville as the Mountaineers keep their playoff hopes alive. Rory Bustamante – May – 9-14 for 261 yards, 4 TDs passing; 6-25 yards rushing Equally important in May’s big district win over Gorman was Bustamante’s passing performance. John Bennett – Rochelle – 22 tackles (20 solo); 8-116 yards, 2 TDs rushing A solid night on defense and offense for Bennett as Rochelle defeated Lohn in district play 52-20. Hornet RB Noah Flores also had a big night rushing for 211 yards, 5 TDs on 14 carries. Hunter Sheffield – Iredell – 13-183 yards, 5 TDs rushing; 3-4-0 for 84 yards, 1 TD passing; 5 tackles; 1-3 yards receiving Sheffield had a solid night against a tough Cranfills Gap team for the Dragons as they win 62-16.
