Unique score

Last Sunday's Steelers-Chargers game was the first 11-10 score in National Football League history.

However, the web site www.pro-football-reference.com notes that seven other scores this year were posted for the first time: 48-25, 48-29, 56-35, 40-26, 48-41, 37-32, and 47-3.

The most common scores in NFL history:

1. 20-17 (218 times)
2. 17-14 (177)
3. 27-24 (156)
4. 13-10 (144)
5. 24-17 (126)

I think it's actually 11-10*

*Touchdown taken away from Troy Polamalu due to incorrect call by referees.

Sorry. Final was 11-10, no asterik. Refs blew the call, has happened before and will happen again. Only folks that are upset are Polamalu and the folks that lost $64 million in bets based on the point spread.

I know, I know, no official changes or asterisks will be included. I don't bet, because that would require me actually having money to begin with.

However, while I was intrigued that this was the first 11-10 score in 12,000+ NFL games (I think that's the number I heard), I found it a bit of a let-down that it was a result of a poor call as time expired that would have kept the 11-10 score untouched until another low scoring game that included a safety came around down the road.

On a related note, remember that time the Chargers lost on a blown call and their whole season was a disaster?
