    Proposed 2024 Rule Changes

I appreciate you providing clarity on this new rule change @dammitbobby. I will make it a point of emphasis during my pre-game with coaches and crew mates because many games come down to the extra point kicks.

    New Year, New Zebras

Good Day to all my fellow Zebras. We are 3 months away from scrimmages happening all across our state. With the series of TASO webinars airing, proposed rule changes coming to light, and chapter trainings all across the state happening, the football season is well on its way back to us.

    Proposed 2024 Rule Changes

This looks good to me. No being the "bad guy" on uniforms. However, I would like to use NCAA timing rules with first downs and the 2 Minute Warning, but all in all, I like it.

    Proposed 2024 Rule Changes

@dammitbobby . it really sounds like an axe to grind against UIL and coaches. I guess one man's golden trumpet is another man's axe to grind.

@dammitbobby continue with your axe to grind. Maybe you will clear a path to justice for all of us.

    Proposed 2024 Rule Changes

What @dammitbobby is saying is coaches picking which crews to use or scratch during the season and for playoff games.

    Proposed 2024 Rule Changes

I am putting it on us, Zebras, now that there are penalties to hold coaches and players accountable. The uniform card now has teeth to it to be enforced. It's only corruption if you let happen. You can't control what other crews do, but you can at least hold you and your crew to the integrity...

    Proposed 2024 Rule Changes

@dammitbobby , by implementing penalties for uniform violations, the uniform card now has some merit and they have agreed to try and fix the issue. It depends on if you feel enough integrity to enforce or not knowing it will affect other Zebras down the line.

    Proposed 2024 Rule Changes

@Legacy Zebra , From what I am hearing the coaches, UIL, and TASO worked together to push this through. It's become a big enough issue for all of them to agree together.

    Proposed 2024 Rule Changes

Sounds good Coach. I appreciate the help with this update. I hadn't yet seen the press release. Many Zebras are not a fan of the uniform rule but if the coaches/U.I.L. agreed upon it, then it would be accepted when enforced during game time.

Proposed Rules Changes Accepted by NCAA that could be used by U.I.L.: 1. The 2 Minute Warning was approved in 2nd and 4th quarters to synchronize all timing rules with the 10 second run-off and game clock stoppage on first downs in bounds (U.I.L. does this for all first downs, so they could...
