As they say location is key to everything! Some locations it is only 1 game other locations it can be 2 or even 3 games. We were once a 4 seed that beat a 1 seed. Every year is different, our district this year stunk but again location put us in that district and it's not our fault some...

I didn't know getting into the playoffs earned you a ribbon or a participation trophy. You have to win a game to get the trophy.

1A schools that elected to play 11 man were classified as 2A schools for Football only but were 1A in all other sports ie Electra and Munday, so that is not why schools "gave up" on 11 man football. Nazareth held onto 11 man for the longest time but played 1A Basketball.

You would be surprised...22-23 school year a kid from the HS to the west of us left that HS during BB season and moved to a Wichita Falls school realized they would not be eligible for athletics in the school they wanted to attend in WF so transferred back to the school they started the school...

Why there are more schools playing Sixman than back in the day! As the smallest classification enrollment has grown so has Sixman teams. Looking at Windthorst’s history, 25% of the teams they have played are now Sixman schools, not to mention the handful that are no longer existant!

WOW! Last year freshman class 31 and 8th grade class 44, which is this year's 10 and freshman class as long as those classes are in HS will be 2A! Guaranteed to be 2A for next 2 realignments cause you can't do the alternative 6-man counting if you are in 2A.

You do realize UIL does not get involved in transfers unless the DEC denies eligibility and the eligibility is then appealed to UIL. It's my understanding the all transfers go through the DEC and they review PAPF. If the previous school doesn't fight the transfer for athletic purposes, they...
