we need football officials in the Amarillo Chapter!

We are in dire need of officials. Here is a link to a letter to the editor in the Amarillo Globe news, written by our chapter secretary. There is also a email address at the bottom of the article. Keep this in mind when you start thinking about the game we love so very much...

    Restriction Line

You don't have to have any! If team A onside kicks, your giving Team A an easier recovery if you back up off restraining line.

Also?? OBK? Do you have a location where you store the names and mascots of all six man schools whether they are closed and gone or not?

Lakeview Texas in Hall County Near Memphis Texas?

Well all I know is that when my grandfather was alive he loved the thought of six man even if he didn't play. He said it looked like how football should look and how he imagined it played in the beginning except without all the passing! I stopped by the Lakeview school and you can still see the...

Lakeview Texas in Hall County Near Memphis Texas?

Thank you very much. My family is from there also. I think my grandfather graduated in the early 40s late 30s. He was an onry old cuss and loved football. Just tracking my love of six man back to him! Again thank you.

Lakeview Texas in Hall County Near Memphis Texas?

I had a question and figured if anyone would know it would be someone that was on this site. My grandfather graduated High School from Lakeview, Texas and also played football there. It is a small town west of Memphis, Texas. I was first wondering if they played 6man, 8man, or 11man? Also does...

    HUDL?

We have had very good luck with Hudl. I have watched 16 six man films in the off season. Over 26 hours of film study. Also can start applying the new rule changes to film and seeing what differences the new rules would have made on a game played. Also, I can say that rookies or younger...

    HUDL?

The Amarillo football officials have Hudl now, and Lubbock chapter has it also. I feel it has already helped our chapter to become better Officials. We can learn from our mistakes and by watching film allows us to see them.

    "You can't handle the Truth"

I remember a while back when someone on this forum had posted an adapted quote! The base of the quote was from the movie : " A Few Good Men". I wanted to make a copy of this and put in my office on the wall. If anyone has this quote saved can you please repost it here! Thank you very much!!!

    Another KO question

That is correct. In Sixman the touchback placement of the ball is at the 20 yard line. Also while I'm here. We also need to pay close attention to a bit of new rule pertaing to the kicking team on Kick offs. A new paragraph is added ahead of the sentence beginning "when the ball is kicked" B...

    Kick off

Yes I tell the kicking team that they can engage if engaged upon. But what is your defenition of "engage upon"!?!?!

    Kick off

Be prepared for some strange Catch-Interference calls this year. New rule change on FR-66: a. it is an interference foul if, before the receiver touches the ball, a Team A player enters the area defined by the Width of the receiver's shoulders and extending one yard in front of him. When in...
