We played in NM earlier this season, and their mercy rule was: if you get up by 35 at any point in the game, there is a running clock. Any time a team is ahead by 50 after half time, it is over.

I really don’t think raising the number is the answer, there are already several schools (that this thread is dedicated to) that don’t want to play sixman…raising the number won’t change that. I doubt very many would even entertain the thought of playing sixman. The UIL could raise the number...

That's the word...extremely large classes, then some extremely small classes.

I was told a couple of months ago (by a VERY reliable source) that SC will prolly be 11man for one more alignment. After that, they may be D2 sixman. Crazy drop in enrollment. But things may have changed in the last couple of months.

Weird that is even a rumor. Fact is, Whiteface was well under the number at the start of last school year. Sitting in mid-90s.

Whiteface will not be playing 11man.
