Something I found that surprised me is Knippa. They are very close to moving into 11 man. They may have 2 more years of 6 man, then will be too big after that. Their Jr High and elementary is averaging 32 students per class.

I looked up the enrollment numbers from last year and High Island only had 53 with less 8th graders than seniors. Unless they had a lot of students move in, then they should have 50 or less this year. Runge would have slightly more, around 54 and Penelope would have around 63 or 54. Again...

That makes sense, but it still seems a little premature since schools don't even know for sure what district they will be in and in some cases, even what division.

It's going to depend on what the UIL decides about the cutoff, but Klondike will definitely be D1. They turned in 67. I think Mike's estimates are pretty close, with a cutoff of 57.5. If that's what the UIL sets it at, then yes, Jayton will also move up to D1, as well as Sands and Highland...

Somehing you may also need to take into consideration is that Runge opted up to Div 1 the last realignment and could do that again. Also, Rocksprings might also opt up to Div 1 since the other Div 2 schools are a lot farther away than Div 1 schools.
