ACTUAL SCORE:

PREDICTION: Alvin Living Stones 46 vs Bellville Faith 12
ACTUAL SCORE: Living Stones 1 - Bellville Faith 0 Forfeit

I would like to see Bellville play, but I am going with Alvin 1- Bellville 0.
North Central Yexas Academy will score a little more like 26.
And I think San Marcos can beat Seguin, flip the score.

Seguin throws me off by beating Veritas and loosing to Corpus Christi Annapolis who barely beat Houston Harmony. And San Marcos, they played Cedar Park summit and Freddy close and loose to Brownwood. But one injury changes the outcome and this is just off the cuff observations. The board has Seguin as a 42 point favorite and in our games the weekly spread has been pretty close.
Hey. but at least at this point it looks like I am 1 for 1 with the Bellville prediction.

Box Dad, if I am not mistaken according to the spreads on this site BCA should currently be at 1-7 with our only win coming against Bellville.

Well all I know is that throughout the years, this site has a pretty good algorithm for predictions and standings. So we at least we are ranked above Bellville! If the first place ranking is a curse, as said in the other post, I am pretty happy were we are at.

I went 7-2 on my week 10 predictions.

PREDICTION: Wichita Christian 59 vs Johnson County Sports Association 13

Another big win for the Stars. Longview Trinity beat this same team 67-7. TAPPS DIII has not been kind to JCSA.

DISTRICT 2

PREDICTION: Ft Worth Covenant Classical 66 vs Heath Fulton 52
ACTUAL SCORE: FWCC 62 - Heath Fulton 38
FWCC can ensure 2nd place in district 2 with a win against Canyon Creek.

PREDICTION: Longview Trinity 62 vs North Central Texas Academy 14

Living Stones ensures the district 4 crown with a win against Brenham Christian.

How about some bracket predictions ...

As of now, wildcard point standings look something like this (3rd place and below), My guess is the top 4 get in. One problem is that with two teams from Dist 2 in the wildcards, one of the southern teams (Lifegate or Brenham) may have to go north and one of the north teams (CCCS or NCTA) go south in order not to have a district re-match in the first round playoff games.

*Seguin Lifegate 20
*Richardson CCCS 17
*Granbury NCTA 13
*Brenham Christian 12
Heath Fulton 12
Selma RCBA 9

So here's my guess based on the brackets and how teams would fall

Seguin Lifegate vs Ft Worth Covenant Classical (D2-2nd), winner plays WF Notre Dame (D1-1st)

Richardson CCCS vs WF Christian (D1-2nd), winner plays Longview Trinity (D2-1st)

Granbury NCTA vs Houston Tx Christian (D4-2nd), winner plays Fredericksburg Heritage (D3-1st)

Brenham Christian vs San Marcos Hill Co (D3-2nd), winner plays Alvin Living Stones (D4-1st).

My first round winners: Lifegate, WF Christian, NCTA, and Hill Co.
Second round winners: Notre Dame, Trinity, Heritage and Hill Co.
Semi-final winners: Trinity and Heritage
Finals winner: Heritage (Shipman breaks a two-year losing streak in the finals and wins #6)

But based on a couple games in Week 10, there are a whole lot of folks that could change this and make me look real foolish.

San Marcos was down 29-6 to Seguin and then dominated the rest of the game to come back and win 42-29!!

Lifegate's achillies heel this year has been poor play in the second half. From what I've seen and heard their best second half was against Castle Hills, where they did come back from a bad first half to tighten up the game ... but Annapolis, Heritage, Hill Country, and to some extent Veritas, Lifegate played poor second halves (losing three of the four; Castle Hills was also a loss). I've only seen three games this year (Veritas, Heritage and New Life), though.

The Falcons have an interesting week ahead -- a bye week, with no guarantee of a playoff berth (they are far ahead in the wildcard points, I can't see them falling off the playoff picture), so technically this would be a week of practice with no idea if or when they will play again this season. It's an opportunity to physicially and mentally get ready for a new season (playoffs) if and when it comes. They have talent, but are still a bit young and maybe think more of their talents than they show on the field. When it's playoff time, you don't turn it on and off like a light switch.

Here is my bracket predictions:

Seguin vs FW Covenant

Notre Dame has bye

Granbury vs Wichita Christian

Longview Trinity has bye

Houston vs Canyon Creek

Freddy has bye

Hill Country vs Alvin

Brenham gets bye

Second round
Notre Dame vs FW covenant
Longview Trinity vs Granbury
Freddy vs Canyon Creek
Brenham vs Hill Country

Semis
Notre Dame vs Granbury
Freddy vs Hill Country

CHAMPIONSHIP
Granbury vs Hill Country

Granbury wins it all. (Going out on a limb)

Well I can tell you right away, although I appreciate the sentiment, Brenham Christian can at best earn second in District 4. If we end up a wildcard, we'd probably be up against Fort Worth and Seguin would be against Texas Christian......but we shall see how things go in Week 11.

We will see. Yes it is a big limb. Like to keep it interesting. Never know what TAPPS will do come.playoff time. I am ready for some playoff football.
