NATA issues guidelines on overuse injuries in athletes 6-18

One of my bugaboos (esp. in small private schools) is the kid who is "saving" himself/herself for a specific sport. My rule was always we have one team, the sport changes, but I lost a lot of those fights (won a couple).

The athletic trainers association just released some data to back up my fight ... According to a new National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) position statement, overuse or repetitive trauma injuries represent approximately half of all pediatric sport-related injuries in the U.S. However, only half of those may be preventable with simple approaches.
