Del Bosque leaving Lingleville

Lingleville head football coach and athletic director Justin Del Bosque is leaving for an administration position at Zephyr.

Del Bosque was the first head coach hired when Lingleville resurrected its long defunct football program in 2010. He led the Cardinals to the Six-Man Division I playoffs in their first year of eligibility this season.

The Dublin native and Tarleton State graduate also oversees an athletic program that sent its last two boys basketball teams to regional tournaments, recently produced its first state qualifier in girls powerlifting and has advanced numerous athletes to area and regionals in track and field.

Del Bosque was not immediately available for comment Wednesday morning. A complete report will be published in the Thursday edition of the Empire-Tribune.
