I could be totally wrong but I believe this is being driven by TAPPS relationship with NFHS. TAPPS schools will only be able to play against schools from organizations that in good standing with NFHS.
El Paso Jesus Chapel won four TAPPS titles: 1990, 1998, 1999, and 2000. They also lost the state championship game to Midland Christian in 1991. Speaking of Midland Christian, I believe they won more TAPPS 6 Man championships than any other school.

For a few years El Paso Jesus Chapel was in a district with Midland Trinity, Abilene Christian, Granbury Happy Hill, Granbury Oak Trail, Ft. Worth Masonic Home, and Watauga Harvest! That makes going to Abilene and Amarillo seem like nothing! Next two years we only have to go to Lubbock twice...
