    Football College Scholarships

    Both of my older boys played in college. My youngest plans on playing. My hope is that with more and more schools going to the spread or pistol. More young men from the 6 man world would be given the opportunity to play if they want to. I know that UTPB will have a team in a year or two.

    Drifter The crowded field is ok. Taught them a little jbird. State has two picks and several breakups. We both are still feeling our way through. We miss the short field though. Had the "how do you get 6 guys ready for a game " question. How are things for you.

    If I had several players and the JV had no game. Then I would extend it. If I had very few players. I wanted to get on and get off. Been on both sides of the mercy rule. Some coaches just let it happen. Others are malicious about it. I believe under no circumstance should a jr high ever be 45ed...

    Here is thought. Anybody ever think of contacting the local universities and jr colleges. They have officiating classes. Those kids need experience.

    Cliff Gilmore was right when he spoke about this at the 2013 coaching school. 5a would get the blame. When is actuality it was the 6 man community who brought it up. We wanted equal representation in all areas of UIL without being separate. If you will look at the Dl, Dll split. You will see...
