...which is the reason i said "not all." I'm aware that there are teams out there that are going to be good regardless of who they play due to coaching, raw ability, athleticism, experience, etc. However, those teams are not part of the majority.

I think the strength of schedule does play a small part in preparation for the playoffs. If you play cake teams all season, and draw a "top" team in the playoffs, then, in some cases (not all), the kids will have a major adjustment to make in order to catch up with the speed, ability, and...
